A Few Stories
In lew of 4:20 here are a few interesting stories from artists you love

Favorite Album/Song – Lately I’ve been on a Snoop Dogg kick, mainly bumpin’ Tha Last Meal. Especially “Stacy Adams” and “Loose’n Control.”
Favorite Movie/TV Show – I don’t think this will ever change: Dazed and Confused foo!
Most Unique Memory – I remember this one time I got so high, I ran in between two cars because I thought Jurassic Park was happening in real life. I was in this parking lot and it was by a baseball field. They had fireworks and all types of loud noises and sh#t going on. And the cars were thumping and I looked on the dashboard and the coffee in this McDonald’s cup was just steady going “boom…boom…boom..”

Favorite Album/Song – Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. It’s probably because of the name, but this is the first CD I smoked to the whole way through. My favorite song? “Living For The Love Of You” by The Isley Brothers.
Favorite Movie/TV Show – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Man, I smoked my very first blunt while that sh#t was in the VCR.
Most Unique Memory - That’s easy. I lost my virginity to the smoke and the p#ssy on the very same day. June 14, 1995.
“4:20 Survival Tip” – Always keep the blunt down while smoking in the car. Take it from a n#gga that has been pulled over smoking many times. And keep some spray or something to take the aroma out the car. Like in G.I., we use Boonies to knock the weed smell out. But really if you smoke in yo’ car as much as I do, you might not be able to get the smell out. Regardless, keep them blunts low when you smoking.

Thoughts of a lone revolutionary
what the fuck is the revolution?
sometimes i find myself asking the same question. At a time where everyone is groping for a sense of reality or who they really are, the revolution is whatever you need it to be. But the revolution i am fighting for (at times it feels like i'm by myself) is one of the mind. Where we as Black people value knowledge, thinking, and have some damn self pride. But the old ppl say young man put down your red black and green and cut your hair play the game. And my peers tell me nigga why u want to be smart get this money fuck them lyrics if you cant dance. As i stand in limbo the lone revolutionary cries silent tears induced by the mindset of those around me.I am not perfect and i don't attempt to be, however, why cant shit be like the movies?

Hope?!

Soulja Boy can't rap. Lil Wayne is a genius. 90% of the hip-hop community would probably agree on this.
However, what are the facts? A KID, who just so happened to parlay every opportunity he was presented with into becoming a self-made multi-millionaire and then proceeded to play nana-nana-boo-boo by rubbing it in our faces(i.e turn my swag on)
If you recall when lil wayne was the same age he was apart of songs that weren't lyric but songs people enjoyed, just like soulja boy. If you dont believe me look at his verse from "Back That Azz Up"
"Now now now now now
After you back it up, then stop
Then wha-wha-what, drop drop it like it's hot
Now after you back it up, then stop
Now, wha-wha-wha-what drop it like it's hot
Now drop it like it's hot, drop drop it like it's hot
C-M-B make you drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot, drop drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot, drop drop it like it's hot"
Ha
Hmmmmm if Lil Wayne produced this and is now where he is maybe just maybe there is hope for Soulja Boy.

What more to say about Jay Electronica than the greatest. The wisdom with which laces through a sporadic genius J. Dilla beat so effortlessly literally has me in awe. But with all his greatness he gets no radio play. It may be because he doesn't have a label or a rich white guy pulling his strings but its sad that the world isn't exposed to his genius.
If he is so good then why isn't he on the radio?is it because there isn't an official dance to his song?he's not rapping hickory dicokery dock shit?or maybe because he just too damn lyrical. With all that being said why does dance music need to be on the radio if sitting in the car is the place where you hear the radio (unless there has been a revolution that I completely missed out on).
It must be said then that the radio is killing good music. Fans love good music they have said that before. The tasteless, unnatural, artificially-flavored sound that dominated mainstream Hip-Hop for a full decade is being rejected by fans and even artists worldwide. This is a crucial moment which must be seized with seriousness.
With that being said play Jay Electronica!

Wayne's Letter to Fans

Love. Live. Life. Proceed. Progress. That’s who I am and who I’ll always be. You see, we’re all living on borrowed time, so I’m not worried about this situation. Life happens quick. The more time you spend contemplating what you should have done…you lose valuable time planning what you can and will do. Trying to tear down the past prohibits you from building up your future. So for my time here, my physical will be confined to the yard. My love and my spirit, however, know no boundaries.
I’m in good spirits man, for real. My kids race through my mind all day. They know they were created with love, so love is how their life will be defined. I just hope my love and adoration for them provides a temporary bandage on a wound I unknowingly inflicted on them.
Real soon, you can catch me blogging for ESPN again thank you espn for not letting my passion for sports perish. I work out a lot because it helps pass the time. I read the Bible everyday. Jail didn’t make me find God, He’s always been there. They can lock me up, but my spirit and my love can never be confined to prison walls.
But this isn’t all about me, you are the reason for this letter. It’s because of you Rebirth went gold when critics aborted it. It’s because of you Young Money is and will always be a movement. If the weight of the world is on your shoulders, I beg of you, place it on mine. That’s the least I could do for you, after all you have sacrificed for me. If I could, I’d write each one of you back. Because of this, my team and I have created a website where you can view my letters. Each week I’ll answer as many questions as I possibly can.
Mia Edwards (Southern California) – I wish you nothing but the best for you. Earning your Masters in Library and Information Science is beautiful. I’ll keep you in mind whenever I decide to do an autobiography on my life.
Kelly Holloman (Brooklyn) – I still remember your letter. You have a great spirit. Thank you for the words and being a real fan. I love you.
Nurris Terrero (New York) – Your letter was so thoughtful and sincere. The way you worded everything left me in awe. Please send suggestions on books I should read. I look forward to checking them out.
For real, this will be the best way we can communicate for the coming months. The same way yall miss me, I miss yall, only 100 times more. To those who hate. Hate is only a form love that hasn’t found a way to express itself logically. Keep sending the letters and I promise keep responding. Thank YOU, thank YOU, thank YOU. No matter what they do to erase me, my love for you will always be permanent. Remember that. Take care. God bless.
Give me the patience that I need
To keep my piece of mind,
And with life’s cares, I hope, Dear God,
Some happiness to find.
Give me the courage to face life`s trials
and not to from troubles run.
let me keep this thought in mind.
“Thy Will,” not “Mine,” be done.
- “Pray”

Hip-Hop Revolution
I will say this from the outset I Love Hip-Hop.
It encompasses everything from how i talk to my political views, with that being said i feel obliged to criticize it.
We as a culture have allowed outsiders to infiltrate and dictate what is produced in essence we have been pimped. The fact that simple party rhymes dominate the radio is telling us we don't own hip-hop anymore
But this can change when rappers aren't scared to rap about what they want to rap about, producers make beats they want, ppl dress how they want, and have their own individual views.
So with that who's going to have the balls to be genuinely unique.

What is Fly and Promising?
Fly and promising is a cultural movement where free thinking is a must and all conformity, groupthink, and general bitchassness is highly discouraged. This daily blog will show our ideals in the realms of music, fashion, and events. We promote intellectualism as well as flyness. All opinions are appreciated to the furthering of our movement.
